It’ll be a year tomorrow since by beautiful sister in law passed away of pancreatic cancer. A year since my wonderful brother lost his beautiful wife and a year since their two children have lost their mom.Since this seems to be “I Am Grateful For” month, I wanted to list a couple things I am grateful for the most and celebrate those who have touched my life.
- I am grateful for my brother who ENDLESSLY helps my mom out around her house all the while he is still trying to maintain his own household after his wife died.
- I am grateful for my mom who has such a heart of compassion and cooks meals for those in need, helps my brother out in every way she can and volunteers at an Assisted Living facility as a way to give back to her community.
- I am grateful for my family who no matter what, will drop everything to help one of us in need.
My list could go on and on. Instead, I want to point to a pattern I noticed. The things that are the most important to me are not the things I need money for. They are things I already have. Joy, peace, gratitude, love and most of all FAMILY. Go hug someone in your family and tell them why you are grateful for them and share in their brilliance. Tell them they matter…because it’s that important.
